Our Story
Number 8 Recruiting Ltd is a Kiwi business, run by Kiwis with solid Kiwi principles. However the parent business is based in London with an established presence in the challenging UK construction and demolition sectors. The UK business was founded in 2009 by Peter Hart and Zinzan Brooke and has focused on providing ethical resourcing solutions to blue chip clients from the start.
Our unique operating difference from many other agencies has been to focus on resourcing from groups in society that provides significant benefits to the individuals and their communities, but more significantly socially progressive resourcing solutions that enhance our clients social responsibilty objectives.
The New Zealand Business
It is hard to argue against the benefits of anything organic and the New Zealand business has been exactly that. A combination of timing and close alignment of how a recruitment service should be provided, brought Jamie Foskett and Pete Hart together. On the back of 15 years as a recruiter in London, the enticement of a Kiwi lifestyle and family pulled Jamie back to NZ in 2010.
Number 8 had established a presence in NZ following the Christchurch earthquakes and had a modest operation relocating UK construction professionals and tradespeople into Kiwi based roles. Jamie's experience was the ingredient needed to establish a local recruitment service to NZ clients.
